Cold Tolerance at Planting

Spring has finally seem to have sprung and we are hanging around waiting and wondering when we should get to planting. We always here that we should wait for soil temps to be around 50 degrees Fahrenheit to plant, but why is that? The University of Nebraska- Lincoln has a great article about that very subject! The article explains it so well I am just going to link it down below.
